Paddling Intro Clinics

 Wilkes Barre Intro Clinics will be held at Lower Ice Lake in Mountaintop,
every other Saturday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.
The cost is $25 per person, equipment is provided.
If you decide to purchase a boat you will be credited the $25.

Paddling Clinics are informal classes that are held on the water.  You will learn basic paddling skills. How to hold the paddle, going forward and backward and different ways to turn your boat.  How to read the moving water and how to react to it.  Where it is safe to go and where everyone should stay out of.  Safety is very important.  We will go over basic water safety.  If you find yourself upside down in your boat, we show you how to get out safely and if you need to, how to get back in your boat while you are still in the water.  This sounds like a lot, but you get to practice as you go.  You will be surprised how much you remember.  Our goal is for you to have fun on the water while you learn.  If there is something specific that you want to work on, let us know and we will help you out.  Each of our classes varies a bit because we ask you, the student, what you want to learn and do.  Check out our paddling clinic schedule on our event calendar.
